📚 Print Designs That Prove Print Isn’t Dead
Early Bird Deadline: September 2025
🎨 Old media naysayers have been predicting print’s death knell for years now, but it’s still going strong. These three fantastic print designs prove that legacy media still has the power to be cutting edge, creative, and totally relevant.
🗞️ RWD
RovaiWebser’s RWD campaign won Gold in Magazine and Newspaper Design for Graphic Design with its accumulated lexicon of signs from labels, hard disks, catalogues, posters, and books. The idea is to discover what exciting ways we can interpret these when they’re free of their designated functions and a fresh look at older media.
🗞️ ZOOM
Zoltan Berta won an Indigo Gold Award in Book Design for Graphic Design for ZOOM, a print catalog companion to the Hungarian Museum of Ethnography’s permanent exhibit on thousands of artifacts, drawings, manuscripts, audio recordings, films, and photographs. These comprise its “museumgalaxy”. The book combines creative images, texts, and graphical patterns on the tome’s inner spine to be a functional and fabulous addition to the museum’s exhibit.
🗞️ Type Something For Me
Freelancer and Gold Winner in Book Design for Graphic Design, Joyce Shi’s inspiration for Type Something For Me stems from the different perspectives we can view type through. Their work examines type as an enigma, a way of seeing, and reflection through tactile elements, typefaces, and graphics.
